The MOU Signing Ceremony in Academic Collaboration in Transdisciplinary Program (Bachelor of Science and Master of Communication Arts) Chulalongkorn University
On Monday, February 28, 2022, Associate Professor Dr. Yootthana Chuppunnarat, Dean of CUGS (Chulalongkorn University Graduate School) was seen as a witness at the MOU Singing Ceremony in Academic Collaboration in Transdisciplinary Program (Bachelor of Computer Science and MA in Communication Arts) Chulalongkorn University. Faculty of Science and Faculty of Communication Arts, Chulalongkorn University, held the MOU Signing Ceremony in Academic Collaboration in Transdisciplinary Program (Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, and Master s Degree in Communication Arts) between Associate Professor Dr. Preeda Akarachantachote, Dean of Communication Arts and Professor Dr. Polkit Sangvanich, Dean of Science, Chulalongkorn University, on February 28, 2022 at Dr. Thiam Chokwatana Meeting Room.
The ceremony was presided over by Professor Dr. Bundhit Eua-aporn, President of Chulalongkorn University, Professor Dr. Parichart Sthapitanonda, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Social Outreach, Associate Professor Dr. Yootthana Chuppunnarat, Dean of CUGS (Chulalongkorn University Graduate School), Associate Professor Dr. Nagul Cooharojananone, Chair of Undergraduate Program in Computer Science, and Assistant Professor Dr. Thanasin Chutintaranond, Chair of MA in Communication Arts and Associate Dean, were seen participating at the ceremony as a witness.
This is the first time in Thailand that the MOU Signing Ceremony in Academic Collaboration in Transdisciplinary Program between undergraduate program in computer science, Faculty of Science and graduate program in communication arts, Faculty of Communication Arts has been conducted.
The program aims at producing graduates who are professional data analyst capable of communicating effectively in every context, and having potential competition at national and ASEAN levels as well. Most importantly, the students will be able to complete their study within five years and earn a bachelor s degree in computer science together with a master s degree in communication arts.
Upon completing 120 credit hours, the undergraduate students will be allowed to take courses of MA in Communication Arts in such four batches as integrated communication management, speech communication, journalism, policy and data study, and media and industrial creation. The students can take two concentrations, research only or courses plus research. Expectedly, the program will be open to the first group of students in 2023.
