Summary: Should you be green or buy less to reduce your environmental impact? In this seminar, I will present two studies that investigate the environmental impact of anti-consumption lifestyles and compare it to environmental concern and ethically minded consumption. We identify the environmental impact of participants and associate with their scores on these three constructs to assess which might be leading to a reduction in environmental impact. I also investigate whether knowledge about the environmental impact of behaviors reduce individuals’ environmental impact.
