KSIM Program at Chulalongkorn University Hosts Special Lecture on “Strengthening Korea–Thailand Cooperation in Public Diplomacy” by the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Thailand
The KSIM Program, Graduate School, Chulalongkorn University, held a special lecture seminar on “Strengthening Korea–Thailand Cooperation in Public Diplomacy” on Saturday, 15 November 2025, in Room 701, 7th Floor, Chalerm Rajakumari 60 Building, Chulalongkorn University.
The seminar was honored to welcome H.E. Mr. Yongmin Park, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Kingdom of Thailand, as the keynote speaker. He shared his knowledge and experience in diplomacy, international cooperation, and South Korea’s role within the ASEAN context. The event was opened by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kriangkrai Boonlert-Uthai, Vice President of Chulalongkorn University, delivered the welcoming remarks.
This special lecture formed part of the course 2024655 Business and Management in Korea, with the aim of providing in-depth knowledge on diplomatic relations, economics, culture, and the influence of the Republic of Korea’s soft power in Thailand and the ASEAN region. It offered graduate and undergraduate students, as well as the general public, the opportunity to gain firsthand insights from a high-level expert in diplomacy—knowledge that is valuable for applying in global business and organizational management, expanding perspectives, and supporting research in Korean Studies.
The KSIM Program recognized the seminar as a significant platform for participants to build networks, foster understanding in international relations, and interact with a distinguished expert—benefits rarely available in typical coursework. By enabling over 60 attendees to gain first-hand knowledge, the event actively strengthened research in Korean Studies and heightened awareness of KSIM’s academic role, underscoring the broader significance for both professional development and the field.
