Short introduction
The Graduate Program in Agricultural Technology at Chulalongkorn University is a unique cooperation among our renowned life science departments. It offers a wide range of areas of specialization: Biology, Botany, Marine Science, and Microbiology. The main objective of the program is to produce and train highly-skilled researchers in the field of agricultural technology with an ability to conduct in-depth research in either plants or animals. Research areas include crop plant production, aquaculture, apiculture, food microbiology, post-harvest technology, integrated pest management, application of plant extracts in biological controls, as well as other related subjects. Using and developing various modern and molecular tools, agricultural technologists work to find solutions for chronic agricultural problems, such as improving yields of crops and livestock, improving better disease and pest resistance, reducing impact of adverse environment in crops and livestock, and minimizing post-harvest damage and loss.
