Short introduction
The International Postgraduate Programs in Environmental and Hazardous Waste Management are offered as international courses with interdisciplinary structure for both M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees. The main goals of the programs are to produce quality graduates with the knowledge and skills to manage the environment effectively and to conduct research work of an international standard. Emphasis is placed on developing full capacity of each student in the program and providing exceptional leadership at the national level. The programs have been jointly developed and operated by a consortium of five prominent universities, namely, Chulalongkorn University, Chiang Mai University, Khon Kaen University, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi, and Prince of Songkla University. In addition, overseas collaboration and partnership have also been established under the contribution of universities from USA, Europe, and Asia to provide excellent opportunities for the students to learn about state-of-the-art technologies, the policy and management system already in place as well as the future global trend. Every year, the programs enroll approximately 30 M.Sc. and 10 Ph.D. students. A numbers of their research works have been published in high quality international peer review journals or presented in international conferences.
